Job Title: Industrial Electrician-Food Manufacturing
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to join our food manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and production equipment to ensure efficient and safe plant operations.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues on food processing and packaging equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems and machinery
- Install, test, and maintain motors, control panels, sensors, VFDs, and PLC-related equipment
- Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals
- Ensure all electrical work complies with safety regulations and company procedures
- Support equipment upgrades, production line improvements, and new installations
- Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of industrial electrician experience, preferably in food manufacturing
- Valid Journeyman Electrician certification or equivalent experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, motor controls, and troubleshooting
- Experience working with PLCs and automated production equipment is an asset
- Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work overtime or weekends when required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in food processing or frozen food manufacturing
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in manufacturing environments
