RESPONSIBILITIES
The metal finisher/polisher will:
- Grind, sand, clean, or polish objects or parts to correct defects or to prepare surfaces for further finishing, using hand tools and power tools.
- Set up, operate, and maintain polishing and grinding-related tools and equipment
- Monitor quality and ensure each piece is finished to a high standard
- Assemble component parts using hand and power tools.
- Be able to climb ladders to reach objects and occasionally work in confined spaces.
- Must have excellent manual dexterity, hand-eye-coordination and give attention to detail.
- Must be physically able to handle heavy items including lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning components up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
- Must maintain a clean workspace.
- Must be able to work scheduled hours and comply with the company’s timekeeping policy and all other company policies.
- Perform other cross-functional duties in the shop as needed or assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Stainless-Steel metal polisher
- Proficiency in the operation of hand tools required for polishing: hand grinders, belt sanders, die grinders, polishing wheels
- a knowledge of metal finishing techniques to work pieces.
- a willingness to collaborate and work as a team.

- competency in reading and interpreting blueprints.

Experience:
A minimum of 3+ years as a hands-on as a Metal Polisher or Mold Polisher
