We are currently looking for an experienced Mold Changer / Injection Processor to join our production team. This role is critical to ensuring efficient machine setups, process optimization, and consistent product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform mold changes efficiently and safely on injection molding machines
- Set up molds, auxiliary equipment, and verify proper machine configuration
- Start up machines and adjust processing parameters (temperature, pressure, cycle time, cooling, etc.)
- Troubleshoot process issues and optimize machine performance to reduce scrap and downtime
- Monitor preform quality and make necessary adjustments to maintain specifications
- Identify defects related to cavities and take immediate corrective actions (including isolating cavities if required)
- Ensure molds are properly handled, stored, and sent to maintenance after each run
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Work closely with supervisors, maintenance, and quality teams
- Follow all safety, GMP, and company procedures at all times
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in injection molding (mold changing and/or processing)
- Strong knowledge of PET preform manufacturing and injection molding processes
- Experience processing PET resin and troubleshooting PET preform defects is required
- Experience working with multi-cavity molds is an asset
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to handle molds and equipment safely
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced production environment
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada (valid work permit, permanent resident, or Canadian citizen)
