I’ve built my small business slowly and with lots of fur…I mean love. I am seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Walker to join my pack. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and exercise for dogs while ensuring their safety and well-being during walks. As a Dog Walker, you will play a vital role in maintaining positive relationships with pet owners through excellent customer service and communication.
Responsibilities
- Walk dogs of various sizes and temperaments, ensuring they receive adequate exercise and socialization.
- Monitor the behavior and health of dogs during walks, reporting any concerns to the pet owner.
- Maintain a safe environment for the dogs by adhering to leash laws and being aware of surroundings.
- Provide fresh water and ensure dogs are comfortable before and after walks.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's behavior, needs, and any incidents that may occur during walks.
- Keep accurate records of each walk, including duration, distance, and any notable observations about the dog.
- Uphold cleanliness by picking up after dogs during walks and maintaining equipment in good condition.
Requirements
- Car and valid drivers license
- Previous experience with dog handling or pet care is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong customer service skills to foster positive relationships with pet owners.
- Ability to manage multiple dogs at once while ensuring their safety.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and their pets.
- Physical stamina to walk for extended periods and handle dogs of varying sizes.
- A genuine love for animals and commitment to their well-being is essential.
