THE ROLE
We're looking for a skilled, accountable, and client-passionate Medical Aesthetician to join the SkinLab team. You'll be a true contributor — owning your client relationships, taking pride in your craft, and collaborating closely with our medical team to deliver exceptional results. This is a role for someone who brings both clinical expertise and genuine care for every person they treat.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Client Consultations & Patient Experience
- Conduct thorough consultations to understand aesthetic goals, skin concerns, treatment history, and expectations.
- Deliver a warm, professional, and elevated client experience from intake through post-treatment follow-up.
- Educate clients on treatment options, results, contraindications, aftercare, and maintenance plans.
- Build lasting client relationships through trust, discretion, and consistent high-quality care.
- Ensure seamless transitions between consultations, treatments, checkout, and rebooking.
Aesthetic Treatments & Skin Health Services
- Perform non-invasive aesthetic treatments including facials, chemical peels, micro-needling, laser-based treatments, and advanced skin health services.
- Conduct comprehensive skin analyses and develop tailored treatment plans and skincare recommendations.
- Collaborate with Medical Doctors, Nurse Injectors, and Naturopathic Doctors to support treatment plans involving injectables, laser resurfacing, and advanced aesthetics.
- Uphold high standards of safety, infection prevention, and post-treatment care.
- Stay current with developments, trends, and best practices in medical aesthetics.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date client records including treatment history, consent forms, product recommendations, and progress notes.
- Ensure all treatments comply with clinic protocols, industry standards, and applicable safety requirements.
- Handle sensitive client information with professionalism and confidentiality.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with clinical and administrative teams to support scheduling, patient flow, treatment planning, and follow-up.
- Develop a thorough understanding of SkinLab's full service offering and facilitate appropriate cross-referrals.
Brand, Sales & Clinic Support
- Recommend skincare products and treatment packages using an ethical, education-based approach.
- Support rebooking, retail sales, and client retention through strong product knowledge.
- Contribute to SkinLab marketing initiatives including content ideas, social media, and in-clinic campaigns.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and treatment-ready clinic environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Certified Medical Aesthetician / Aesthetician training from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience as an aesthetician or medical aesthetician.
- Hands-on experience with microneedling — this is a mandatory requirement.
- Experience performing non-invasive aesthetic treatments: facials, chemical peels, laser treatments, and advanced skincare.
- Strong knowledge of skincare products, treatment protocols, and patient aftercare.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client-care skills.
- Detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and committed to thorough documentation.
- Collaborative and comfortable working within a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Assets
- Background in a medical aesthetics, dermatology, medspa, or wellness setting.
- Familiarity with neurotoxins, dermal fillers, laser resurfacing, and skin rejuvenation treatments.
- Sales, retail, or consultative product recommendation experience.
- Experience with EMR / booking systems such as Jane App.
SCHEDULE & COMPENSATION
- Part-Time | Morning shifts | Weekend availability required; weekday shifts may be available.
- From $22.00/hr-$24.00/hr, commensurate with experience.
