Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items following standardized recipes and presentation guidelines
- Assist in food preparation tasks, including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety standards
- Ensure all food is handled properly to prevent contamination and ensure freshness
- Serve dishes promptly and accurately to ensure customer satisfaction
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate meal service during busy hours
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation policies within the kitchen environment
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying management of shortages
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Strong knowledge of food handling procedures and safety regulations
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques
- Good communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team
- Knowledge of meal preparation standards and presentation techniques
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings as needed
