Safe Hands Care is a Surrey-based home care agency committed to helping seniors age safely and comfortably in their own homes. We provide compassionate, professional, and reliable in-home support that gives families peace of mind.
We are looking for caring individuals to join our team as Caregivers. In this role you will be the friendly face that clients see every day. You will support seniors with daily living activities while building trusting relationships. Your work will directly impact a client’s independence, dignity, and overall well-being.
At Safe Hands Care we believe every senior deserves respect and quality care. As a caregiver you will follow personalized care plans and work with our team to ensure each client receives consistent and attentive support.
Duties
Assist clients with personal care including bathing, grooming, oral hygiene, dressing, toileting, and mobility assistance
Support safe transfers and positioning as outlined in the care plan
Provide companionship through conversation, activities, and emotional support to reduce loneliness
Prepare simple meals, assist with feeding, and follow any dietary preferences or restrictions
Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, washing dishes, and keeping client areas clean and organized
Provide medication reminders and monitor client health, reporting any changes to the care team
Follow individualized care plans and complete clear, timely visit documentation
Communicate openly with clients, family members, and Safe Hands Care coordinators
Assist clients with errands, appointments, and community outings
Encourage client independence while ensuring safety at all times
Maintain client confidentiality and uphold professional boundaries
Respond calmly in emergencies and follow agency procedures.
Requirements
Previous experience in caregiving, home support, assisted living, or healthcare setting is preferred
BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry registration and HCA certificate are considered an asset
Ability to pass and provide a Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
First Aid and CPR certification are considered an asset
Strong English communication skills. Additional languages such as Punjabi, Hindi, Tagalog are an asset
Demonstrated compassion, patience, respect, and professionalism
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
Physically able to assist with personal care and mobility tasks as required
Flexible to work various shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Commitment to maintaining client dignity,
Pay: $20.18-$22.38 per hour
