ROAD MILLWRIGHT
Nemx Skilled Trades is a dynamically growing contracting company whose expertise is within the fabrication, rigging and CWB Certified welding arenas and we are eager to add a Millwright to join our road team.
In this position, you will assemble, move, set up, repair, maintain and dismantle factory equipment and other industrial machinery and tools. For this reason, in addition to knowledge and expertise, the role requires flexibility and dexterity since you will carry equipment, stand and crouch through the day. You need to be comfortable using large equipment like cranes, forklifts and other lift systems, be good with tools and be able to effectively read plans and prints. Opportunities are high for progression into a Foreman/Team Lead role for the right individual.
Responsibilities:
· Interpret blueprints and job specific information including technical instruction and codes & standards
· Use overhead cranes and other lift systems to assist in the projects process
· Ensure working environment is clean and safe and in full compliance with the approved safety regulations
· Assembling, installing, testing and maintaining machinery and equipment ensuring they are working correctly
· Effectively identifying and repairing problematic machinery and equipment making temporary repairs or installing new parts
· Work to the highest quality standard
· Effectively operate heavy & light machinery and equipment such as: drills, welding machines, various saws, cutting torches, grinders, plasma torch, rigging equipment, hand tools and all other specific trade tooling
“Must Have” Qualifications
· 10+ years of direct experience in the trade or at least a registered 3rd or 4th year Millwright Apprentice
· Fabrication experience in mild, stainless steel and aluminum
· Excellent attention to detail
· Current Forklift, WAH and Elevated Work Platforms safety tickets/certifications (not essential but considered a definite asset)
· CWB certification (considered a strong asset)
Safety:
· Required to wear appropriate PPE while on site and follow Nemx Skilled Trades Covid Safety Policy
· Required to follow all safety requirements as per safety policies
· Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and recognizing the need for help
· Valid Confined Space Entry and First Aid Safety Certificates (considered a strong asset)

· Can carry out oral and/or printed work instructions
· Have a valid Driver’s license
· Demonstrate excellent English communication skills both written and verbal
· Are able to work independently and have proven yourself a self-starting go-getter and possess initiative in abundance
