We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian/Janitor to maintain cleanliness and safety across our facilities. The ideal candidate will ensure a clean, sanitary, and organized environment that promotes health and productivity. This role is vital in supporting the overall operations and appearance of our premises, contributing to a positive experience for employees and visitors alike.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal to maintain cleanliness standards.
- Conduct deep cleaning of restrooms, kitchens, and common areas to ensure hygiene compliance.
- Replenish supplies such as paper towels, soap, and toilet paper as needed.
- Maintain floors by vacuuming carpets and stripping or waxing hard surface floors.
- Perform minor maintenance tasks or report repairs needed for facilities or equipment.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored after use.
- Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning, especially commercial cleaning or facilities maintenance.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and quality.
- Knowledge of proper cleaning chemicals, tools, and safety procedures.
- Ability to perform routine maintenance tasks and identify when repairs are necessary.
- Good physical stamina to perform cleaning duties that require standing, bending, lifting (up to 50 pounds), and walking for extended periods.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage supplies and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while following established procedures.
