Mansteel Rebar Ltd. is seeking a reliable Delivery Driver & Field Support (Runner) to support our operations based out of Amherst, NS, covering job sites across Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.
This role involves the pickup and delivery of rebar, tools, and construction materials to active job sites, supporting field crews and ensuring timely, accurate deliveries. A Ford F-1250 with gooseneck trailer will be assigned to this position.
This is a hands-on, on-the-road role ideal for someone dependable, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and pick up materials, tools, and rebar between suppliers and job sites
- Support field crews with urgent material requests and deliveries
- Operate company truck and gooseneck trailer safely and professionally
- Complete daily vehicle and trailer inspections
- Assist with loading/unloading and basic site support tasks
- Maintain accurate communication with supervisors and site teams
- Follow all safety procedures and driving regulations
Requirements
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with Condition 15
- Clean driver’s abstract
- Comfortable driving a half-ton truck and towing a trailer
- Ability to travel across Nova Scotia and New Brunswick
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Construction experience is an asset
