Located 45 mins north of the GTA. For over 35 years, Country Signs has been the leader in new construction and refurbishing of gas stations across Canada. We provide a one stop shop for our customers including but not limited to, full installations, repairs, and service. We pride ourselves on doing whatever it takes to satisfy the customer with a ‘can do’ mentality.
We currently have openings for the following positions.
1._ Install Assistant:_
Key Responsibilities:
- Ability to solve problems on the spot
- Assist the Lead Hand in all aspects of construction on site including but not limited to:
- The assembly of the steel canopy,
- Installation of signage (FRP, Channel Letters, Sign Box, etc.),
- Installation of deck pans
- Removal/install deck pans
- Erecting pylon
- Price signs install/removal
- Install LED kits as needed
- Removal/installation of sign faces
- Apply vinyl graphics and final sign detailing
- Load trailer(s) with product needed
- Prepare worksite each day by turning on and warming up equipment
- Prepare tools needed each day
- Ensure material needed is onsite and open crates as needed
- Set up barricading each day
- Set up fencing as required
- Conduct fire watch as needed
- Ensure work is completed within company standards and quality
- Use various hand and/or power tools
- Operate various equipment on site, including but not limited to Skid Steer and MEWP
- Operate work vehicle(s) to transport self and others to site as well as product.
- Complete required safety paperwork using iPad
- Perform other duties as assigned by your Lead Hand
2. Intermediate Install Assistant:
- All of the responsibilities of an Install Assistant in addition to
- Train Install Assistant(s)
- Lead small jobs with minimal supervision
- Complete tasks onsite with no supervision
- Ensure work is completed within company standards and quality
- Communicate with Project Managers as needed
- Ability to use various hand and/or power tools
- Complete required safety paperwork using iPad
Requirements for both positions:
- High School Diploma or relevant experience
- Min 1-3 years of construction or signage experience
- G-Class license with a clean abstract
- Ontario Working at Heights
- Excellent work ethic with a strong willingness to learn
- Physically strong and willing to work long hours in any weather condition
- Time Management.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Knowledge of power and hand tools
- Ability to lift 50lbs frequently
- Good understanding of Microsoft Outlook and ability to use an iPad
- Ability to travel out of town Monday-Friday each week
- Experience in all types of construction sign installation
- Mobile crane license is an asset, but we will train
- Steel experience preferred but not required
- Work well with others
- Self starter
