Are you an organized person? Do you have an eye for details? Are you able to quickly shelve books and other materials? Cambridge Public Library is seeking part-time Student Shelvers beginning in September 2026. This may be your opportunity to shine!

To be qualified for this role, you must meet the following requirements:
Required
- Currently enrolled in secondary school (high school)
- Demonstrated competency in the areas of numeracy, literacy and attention to detail.
- Highly organized and excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to follow detailed processes and balance multiple tasks.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Pay: Student Minimum Wage: $16.60 per – $17.60 per hour
Schedule: 1-2 weekday evening shifts each week and alternating weekends.
These are part-time student contract positions until August 2027, paying the hourly student minimum wage. You will be required to be available to work evenings, weekends (including Sundays) and during the summer months.
This position is part of a Special Program designed in accordance with the requirement of the Ontario Human Rights Code to assist secondary students seeking to enter the workforce. Should you require further information regarding the Program, please contact Human Resources.
