1st Call Health & Safety is seeking a motivated and experienced First Aid Instructor to join our growing team in Alberta.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging, high-quality First Aid and CPR training programs to individuals, businesses, and organizations while ensuring compliance with current certification standards. This role requires a professional who is passionate about teaching, committed to workplace safety, and dedicated to providing an exceptional learning experience.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver First Aid and CPR training courses in accordance with current certification standards and guidelines.
- Create a positive, interactive, and inclusive learning environment.
- Evaluate participant performance and issue certifications as required.
- Maintain accurate course records and training documentation.
- Ensure training equipment and materials are properly maintained and prepared.
- Promote a culture of safety and professionalism during all training sessions.
Qualifications:
- Current First Aid Instructor certification. (Certification through the Canadian Red Cross is preferred; however, instructors certified through St. John Ambulance will also be considered.)
- Strong knowledge of First Aid and CPR principles and procedures.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to engage learners with varying levels of experience and knowledge.
- Commitment to safety excellence and customer service.
- Previous teaching or training experience is considered an asset.
