Overview
We are seeking a caregiver to provide home support for a vibrant 82‑year‑old woman. This role focuses on delivering compassionate patient‑centered care that supports safety, comfort, dignity, and independence. Care will be provided in a home environment, with an emphasis on assisting with activities of daily living, companionship, and promoting quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
- Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping
- Follow individualized care plan
- Observe and report changes in condition
- Use proper lifting, transferring, and infection‑control techniques
- Communicate respectfully with the client, family members, and team
- Adhere to PHIPA regulations to ensure privacy and confidentiality
- Adhere to Infection Prevention and Control best practices
Requirements
- Experience in home care, assisted living, or nursing homes preferred
- Must have: Police Vulnerable Sector Check, First Aid & CPR certification
- Strong observational skills for recognizing changes in condition
- Compassionate, patient, reliable, and able to work independently
- Physically able to perform job duties safely
- Must have a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle (public transportation is not available)
- Hourly rate: $20
- Hours: 12-24 hrs
- Shift rotation: Week 1: Monday-Thursday, Week 2: Saturday-Tuesday
- Day shifts: 8:30am-11:30am (12 hrs weekly)
- Evening shifts: 5:00pm-8:00pm (12 hrs weekly)
Pay: $20.00 per hour
