Position: Diver/Show Diver
Facility: Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada Reports to: Director Husbandry and Dive Safety Officer
Job Purpose: The Show Diver is primarily responsible for providing the guests with an exhilarating show experience through performance diving or narration of various dive shows as well as in-water guest programs. This position answers to the Dive Operations Manager and the Director of Husbandry.
Please remember that due to the nature of our business, we work when others play in an attraction that is open 365 days of the year! You will be expected to be regularly available to work any shift during, before or after these hours of operation.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following tasks:

Performs energetic, educational, and entertaining dive shows for guests.

Adheres to all dive guidelines set forth by the Dive Safety Board.

Must have knowledge of all exhibits including the animal life that is in each exhibit.

Assists husbandry staff in cleaning and tank maintenance.

Assists the husbandry staff in food prep and animal care.
Required Qualifications:

Certified to SCUBA dive by a nationally recognized training organization such as PADI and be a Rescue Diver, Dive Master, or Instructor.

Must be First Aid and CPR certified or willing to be certified.

Need to be outgoing, energetic, have great public speaking skills and understand good customer service.
Preferred Qualifications:

Oxygen Administration Certified.

WHIMIS Certified.
Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 25kgs and ability to bend, stoop and kneel in order to prepare equipment and assist with diver suiting.

Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.

Must be willing/able to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings and holidays.
Pay Rate: $19.06/hourly
