Job Description
As a Plumbing Apprentice, you’ll work under the guidance of a journeyperson plumber to assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing and heating systems. This role combines on-the-job learning with classroom apprenticeship training, helping you develop the practical skills and technical knowledge needed for a rewarding career in the trade.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing and heating systems
- Support journeyperson plumbers with tools, materials, and job setup
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas
- Load and unload tools, equipment, and materials as needed
- Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies
- Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, and supervisors
- Participate in on-the-job training and attend required apprenticeship schooling
Requirements
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driving record
- Clear criminal record check
- Physically fit and able to lift, carry, and work in confined spaces
- Basic knowledge of plumbing tools and materials (an asset)
- Previous construction or trade experience is an advantage but not required
