A&O Group Living Inc. is a residential service provider committed to delivering person-centered, structured, and supportive care to adults with developmental disabilities and dual diagnoses, including individuals with behavioural and mental health needs.

We are currently seeking compassionate and motivated Developmental Support Professionals (DSPs) who are passionate about supporting individuals within a residential group living setting.
Successful candidates will:
- Possess a relevant diploma or degree in a related field (preferred)
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to quality care, professionalism, and ethical practice
- Work effectively within a small, team-oriented residential environment
- Have experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, dual diagnoses, and behavioural needs
- Implement Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs) and individualized support strategies
- Maintain structured routines and follow established care plans
- Support meal preparation and perform light housekeeping duties
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal care
- Administer medication in accordance with established procedures
- Implement behaviour support strategies and de-escalation techniques
- Promote a safe, respectful, and structured home environment
- Support residents in community participation and skill development
- Respond appropriately to behavioural, medical, or crisis situations
- Complete accurate and timely documentation, including daily notes and incident reports
- Collaborate with internal teams and external professionals as required
Additional Responsibilities:
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development
- Maintain confidentiality of all client and organizational information
- Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to respond safely during behavioural escalations or emergency situations
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and remain active for extended periods
- Ability to assist residents with mobility and daily care tasks
- Ability to lift or support up to 50 lbs when required
Qualifications:
- Developmental Services Worker (DSW), Social Service Worker (SSW), or related field
- Valid First Aid & CPR certification
- CPI or other crisis intervention training (REQUIRED)
- Medication administration experience (asset)
- Valid driver’s license (asset)
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Check
Compensation:
$21.00 – $25.00 per hour
