We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of plumbing systems, mechanical components, HVAC, private waste water/water systems and related trade skills as well as ability to manage Commercial and Residential projects and the ability to manage yourself in stressful situations. General knowledge of A/C is an asset but will train if required. Candidates will need the skills to diagnose issues with furnaces, boilers and hot water tanks. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across various projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards and building codes. The Journeyman Plumber will work closely with lead journeyman red seal plumber and other tech's and related tradesman to deliver high-quality workmanship in a timely manner. Class 5 drivers license required and must be insurable and bondable.
Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances in residential and commercial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute projects.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to assemble and install plumbing components.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely to transport materials and equipment as needed.
- Troubleshoot plumbing, furnace, hot water tank, sewer, A/C and water system issues effectively and accurately.
- Follow safety protocols during all phases of work to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Document and Invoice work performed and communicate progress with supervisor.
Requirements
- Valid Journeyman Plumber license or certification.
- Proven experience with plumbing installation, repair, and maintenance in residential and commercial environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge including HVAC systems and schematics.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding conditions.
- Knowledge of carpentry principles helpful for framing or structural adjustments related to plumbing work
- Familiarity with technical drawings for precise installation or repair tasks
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a medium-paced environment
- Commitment to safety standards and quality workmanship
Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
