As our project portfolio continues to expand across Ontario, we are seeking Architectural Design Technicians who are passionate about sustainable design, technical excellence, and innovative building systems. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to residential, multi-family, commercial, and retrofit projects focused on energy efficiency and building performance.
Position Summary
The Architectural Design Technician will support the development of architectural designs and technical documentation for a variety of high-performance building projects.
This role involves producing drawings, coordinating design information, supporting project teams, and contributing to the successful delivery of projects that align with Ontario Building Code requirements and Passive House principles.
Key Responsibilities
Develop 3D models and construction drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.
Prepare permit, construction, and coordination drawing packages.
Produce architectural details, schedules, and technical documentation.
Support project coordination with internal teams, engineers, consultants, and project stakeholders.
Apply Ontario Building Code requirements in project design and documentation.
Assist with PHPP (Passive House Planning Package) modeling and energy-performance coordination.
Create visual materials and renderings to support project communication.
Coordinate revisions and maintain drawing accuracy throughout project development.
Contribute to the delivery of sustainable, high-performance building solutions.
Qualifications
Required
Diploma or degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Architectural Design, Building Technology, or a related field.
Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
Experience producing construction drawings and technical documentation.
Working knowledge of the Ontario Building Code.
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
Preferred
Experience with residential, multi-family, commercial, or retrofit projects.
Familiarity with Passive House principles, PHPP, or Net Zero design.
Experience with BIM workflows, Rhino, SketchUp, or rendering software.
BCIN certification is considered an asset.
Candidates actively pursuing BCIN certification are encouraged to apply.
Familiarity with prefabricated or panelized construction methods is an asset.
