About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Chef to join our growing team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in Indian cuisine and takes pride in preparing high-quality, authentic dishes while maintaining excellent food safety and kitchen standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes to a consistently high standard.
- Ensure food quality, presentation, and portion control.
- Assist with menu planning and recipe development.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
- Monitor inventory and assist with ordering supplies.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Chef or Cook in an Indian restaurant.
- Strong knowledge of Indian cuisine and cooking techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- A positive attitude and strong teamwork skills.
- Food Safe certification is an asset.
Preferred Qualifications (Assets)
- Experience preparing Biryani and Mandi.
- Experience operating a Tandoor and preparing tandoori dishes.
- Experience with menu development and kitchen leadership.
