NURS 451 – Health Assessment and RN First Call 0.5 SCH Contract
Workshop Facilitator
Note: Final contract amount depends on number and format of associated workshops, to be determined with successful candidate. Contract will be for a minimum of 0.5 SCH for facilitation of the Workshop portion of the course. This course is delivered online, workshop(s) to be determined with successful candidate and based on student cohort composition for the course.
This course provides students with the knowledge and skills needed to extend their ability to conduct a thorough health assessment for diverse client populations throughout the lifespan. It prepares students to safely utilize the NNPBC Decision Support Tools for RN First Call practice. Topics include history and physical assessment, advanced clinical reasoning, informed judgement, and pharmacotherapeutics for the management of specified common and predictable health conditions.
Candidates with a minimum BScN, MScN preferred, and current registration as a Practising RN with the BCCNM is preferred, are encouraged to apply. For this facilitator position, we are specifically seeking someone with current, rural and northern clinical experience.

It includes a satellite campus in the coastal community of Prince Rupert.

Salary
The salary for Part-Time Sessional Instructors is determined on the basis of Semester Contact Hour (SCH) at a rate of $3,046.03 per SCH. Please refer to the link below to the UNBC Faculty Association Collective Agreement (Appendix 48C) for more compensation information:
