The Canadian Light Source Inc. (CLSI) is a national research facility of the University of Saskatchewan. We are seeking a forward-thinking CPA to join our leadership team as Finance Manager - a role that blends high-level financial stewardship with organizational impact. Your Impact:
Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will provide operational oversight of the Finance Department, and alignment with CLSI’s strategic mission and long-term objectives. You will lead a multidisciplinary team and drive excellence across financial reporting, budgeting and planning, payroll, and supply chain operations - bringing an integrated, modern approach to financial management. Positioning finance as a trusted service, you will collaborate closely with the management team, delivering insights that support sound decision-making and financial stewardship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee an integrated portfolio including budgeting, forecasting, payroll, and supply chain/procurement functions
- Provide strategic leadership for all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, reporting, and internal controls
- Lead the development of short-, medium-, and long-term financial plans and capital budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities
- Elevate financial reporting and analytics for internal leadership, the Board, and external stakeholders, including funding partners
- Drive continuous improvement in systems, processes, and governance frameworks to enhance efficiency and transparency
- Foster a high-performing, client-focused finance team, promoting collaboration, accountability, and service excellence across the organization
What You Bring:
- A CPA designation (required) with a strong track record in progressive financial leadership roles
- 10+ years of experience, including leadership and team management responsibilities
- Demonstrated ability to operate as a strategic partner to executive leadership
- Strong expertise in financial planning & analysis, reporting, and risk management
- Proven project management experience leading transformational initiatives or system/process improvements
- Demonstrated experience in procurement and inventory management processes
- Experience in complex environments (e.g., public sector, research, higher education, or regulated industries) is an asset
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships across all levels

Remuneration: The salary range for this position is $108,834 - $150,769. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
