Overview
Demolition Plus is seeking an experienced and motivated Foreman to lead field operations on demolition, abatement, remediation, and site preparation projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing crews, coordinating subcontractors, managing project costs, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and delivering projects efficiently while maintaining the highest level of professionalism.
The Foreman will work closely with Project Managers, Project Coordinators, Construction Managers, clients, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure successful project execution from start to finish.
Project Planning & Execution
- Interpret and understand contracts, construction drawings, specifications, and project scope of work.
- Review project schedules and coordinate daily activities with crews to meet project milestones and deadlines.
- Ensure all work is completed according to project requirements, quality standards, and company expectations.
- Identify and resolve site issues and challenges in collaboration with project management teams.
Client & Stakeholder Communication
- Manage customer requests and inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Address technical questions from clients, contractors, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
- Represent Demolition Plus professionally with government agencies, owners, general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and consultants.
Team Leadership
- Clearly communicate expectations, priorities, and work plans to field staff throughout each phase of the project.
- Develop, train, mentor, and manage crew members to maximize performance and productivity.
- Recruit, onboard, and mentor new team members.
- Foster a positive, safety-focused, and collaborative work environment.
Subcontractor & Vendor Coordination
- Communicate project requirements and expectations to subcontractors throughout all phases of work.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure efficient project delivery.
- Monitor subcontractor performance and compliance with project requirements.
Technical Expertise
Demonstrate knowledge, experience, and/or certifications related to:
- Selective Demolition
- Structural Demolition
- Hazardous Materials Abatement
- Environmental Remediation
- Site Preparation
- General Earthworks
Cost Control & Resource Management
- Manage project costs in accordance with approved bid amounts and budgets.
- Monitor and control:
- Labour costs
- Material costs
- Equipment costs
- Vendor costs
- Subcontractor costs
- Effectively manage resources including people, materials, equipment, processes, and environmental considerations.
Safety & Compliance
- Maintain current knowledge of industry safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Enforce company safety policies and procedures at all times.
- Conduct safety meetings, inspections, and hazard assessments.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate project documentation and site records.
- Complete and review:
- Timecards
- Delivery tickets
- Equipment logs
- SafetyLoop entries
- Daily reports
- Safety documentation
- Ensure all project paperwork is completed accurately and submitted on time.
This role offers an opportunity for a dedicated professional to lead complex demolition projects while ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency at every stage of the process.
Pay: $35.00-$50.00 per hour
