Job Summary:
We have an exciting and unique opportunity for a Finance Administrator to join our team based out of Coaldale, Alberta. Working in a collaborative office environment, this role provides essential financial and administrative support to both the AMG team and our partner companies. You'll work directly with our Finance and Payroll colleagues, ensuring the accurate and timely flow of information required for financial reporting, payroll processing, and day-to-day operations. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced agricultural environment.
Key Responsibilities / what will you do each day:
· Account Management: Processing invoices, preparing payments, generating bills, posting receipts and managing collections. Balancing and reconciling bank accounts, investigating errors.
· Maintaining Documentation: Maintaining financial records utilizing accounting software effectively.
· Financial Reporting: Compiling data, preparing statements and generating reports. Ensuring adherence to financial policies, procedures and regulations.
· Payroll Administration: Prepare and process payroll, working with our Finance partners.
· Commodities Support: Provide support for data entry process and settle accounts using the OpenLink system. Respond to customer enquiries.
· Other Duties: Administrative tasks and project work to ensure the organization is set up for success.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills:
· Diploma, Certificate or Degree in Accounting. Bookkeeping, Business or a related field
· Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a financial / accounting role
· Payroll experience advantageous
· A passion for customer service
· Strong understanding of accounting principles, bookkeeping and financial record-keeping
· Proficiency with accounting software and bookkeeping systems
· Attention to detail, accuracy and problem-solving skills for resolving issues
· Ability to work independently on routine tasks
· Self-starter – able to investigate, interpret and research best practices
· Strong user of Microsoft products, proficient with Excel
· High level of comfort when learning new processes and systems, Sage 50 would be an advantage

· Remuneration: $29 - $32 per hour (This range represents the estimate the Company expects to pay for this role, actual compensation may be adjusted based on experience, skills, qualifications etc.)
