Job Description
Reporting to the Production Supervisor or Team Lead, the Production Technician is responsible for supporting pharmaceutical manufacturing operations in a GMP-regulated environment. The role involves the setup, operation, and cleaning of manufacturing equipment, as well as executing production activities according to approved batch records and procedures.
The successful candidate will ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and company policies, while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning of the GMP manufacturing facility and equipment according to established procedures.
- Stage and dispense materials as instructed in production documentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized processing area through routine housekeeping activities.
- Accurately complete all assigned documentation and floor activities in accordance with SOPs, GDP, and GMP requirements.
- Follow manufacturing instructions and batch records with minimal supervision.
- Conduct in-process checks and testing as required during product manufacturing.
- Participate in training and operation of production equipment including, but not limited to, blenders, compactors, compression presses, and lab coaters.
- Notify the Team Lead or Supervisor of any deviations from procedures, safety incidents, or operational issues.
- Ensure compliance with company programs including Quality policies, Business Ethics and Compliance, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), and HR policies.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to support departmental and organizational goals.
- Seek and respond positively to constructive feedback from supervisors and colleagues.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum secondary school diploma or recognized equivalent qualification.
- 1–3 years of experience working as a Production Technician in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Ability to lift up to 20 kg on a regular basis.
- Flexibility to work shift schedules as required.
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and respiratory protection in accordance with company procedures.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel and Word).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to a “Right First Time” approach.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Self-motivated team player with a positive attitude and strong collaboration skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to follow instructions and learn new technical processes.
- Fluent in English with strong interpersonal communication skills.
