Maru Sushi is looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Helper to join our team. We are seeking someone who takes pride in keeping the kitchen clean, organized, and running smoothly while supporting our chefs.
Responsibilities
- Wash dishes and kitchen equipment
- Prepare vegetables and ingredients
- Assist chefs with food preparation
- Keep the kitchen clean and organized
- Receive and organize deliveries
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards
- Other general kitchen duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in a Japanese restaurant is required.
- Experience as a Kitchen Helper or Prep Cook is preferred.
- Knowledge of Japanese restaurant kitchen operations and food preparation.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Ability to follow food safety and sanitation standards.
- Able to lift up to 25 kg (55 lbs).
- Legally eligible to work in Canada.
Pay: From $18.25 per hour
Work Location: In person
