Duties and Responsibilities:
The key job functions are:
- Welcome and check patients in and out of the clinic in a friendly, professional manner.
- Answer incoming telephone calls and respond to patient inquiries.
- Schedule appointments and manage physician calendars.
- Process referrals and maintain accurate patient records.
- Escort patients to examination rooms and prepare them for appointments.
- Obtain and record basic patient vitals, including height, weight, and blood pressure.
- Educate patients on the use of glucometers and provide basic instruction as required.
- Support physicians and the clinical team with day-to-day administrative and operational tasks.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure accurate documentation.
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment and assist with additional duties as needed.
Education:
- Medical Office Assistant certification is considered a strong asset.
Experience:
- 2+ years working as a Medical Office Administrator is required.
- Experience in a General Practice (GP) or community medical clinic is strongly preferred.
- Experience taking and recording basic patient vitals.
Skills:

- Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional and friendly demeanor.

Base Salary: $23-26 per hour
- Salary based on experience.
Work Hours:
- 8:30am – 4:30pm
- Part-time to start (approximately 2–3 days per week)
- Preferred days: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
- Transition to full-time hours beginning in and around December 2026
