What will you do?

On an as needed basis, enter financial transactions into company system
-
Assist with Accounts Payables and Receivables
-
Assist with system accounting:
-
Recording of Direct Bill Commissions for Financial Services Department
-
Reconciling Agency Bill Transactions and Identifying billing discrepancies
-
Recording deposits daily
-
Assist with Month-End Close duties
-
Back up for Reception and Mailroom Assistant when needed
Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications:
-
Post Secondary/bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or other related profession; openness to obtaining CPA designation

1-2 years experience in accounting; experience in insurance is considered a strong asset

Exposure to EPIC software or willingness to learn

Familiarity with excel spreadsheets, formulas and data analysis tools.

A general understanding of the main accounting principles, such as accruals and revenue.

Strong attention to detail and level of accuracy; ability to spot and resolve discrepancies

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Depending on experience, the salary range for this newly created role is $45,000 - $50,000 Please note that individual salary is determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience, as well as internal equity.
