Pharmacist (Part-Time – Saturdays Only)
We are seeking a friendly, patient-focused, and reliable Pharmacist to join our community pharmacy team for Saturdays only. The ideal candidate is confident in delivering excellent patient care, building strong customer relationships, and working efficiently in a busy retail pharmacy environment.
Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications in accordance with physician orders, pharmacy regulations, and professional standards
- Provide patient counseling on medications, side effects, interactions, and adherence
- Conduct Minor Ailment Prescribing assessments within scope of practice
- Perform MedsCheck reviews and medication reconciliation services
- Manage and supervise methadone dispensing and maintenance programs
- Review prescriptions for accuracy and appropriiateness
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to optimize patient care
- Maintain accurate patient medication records and documentation
- Ensure compliance with all pharmacy policies, standards, and regulatory requirements
- Support day-to-day pharmacy operations and workflow
- Deliver exceptional customer service and build positive patient relationships
Qualifications
- Must be licensed and in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP)
- Experience in community/retail pharmacy required
- Experience with methadone dispensing and management is required
- Authorized and experienced in Minor Ailment Prescribing
- Experience conducting MedsCheck reviews preferred
- Fillware pharmacy software experience is mandatory
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations and workflow management
- Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
