We are seeking a passionate, skilled and comfident Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional grooming services. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of pets while delivering high-quality grooming services that meet our clients' expectations.
Duties
- Perform all grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs and cats.
- Perform advanced grooming techniques tailored to each pet’s unique needs, including specialized cuts, intricate styling, and sensitive handling of senior or special-needs animals.
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their grooming preferences and provide customized recommendations for their needs.
- Handle pets safely and compassionately, ensuring their comfort throughout the grooming process.
- Monitor pets for any signs of health issues or discomfort during grooming sessions and report findings to pet owners.
- Provide excellent customer service by building rapport with clients and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
- Esure all pet records are up to date by updaing files and pet info
Skills
- Minimum 2 years of full time grooming experience
- Strong customer service skills to create a welcoming environment for pet owners.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger breeds or multiple pets during grooming sessions.
- Proficiency in various grooming techniques and familiarity with different breeds' specific needs.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and understand their requirements as well as providing educated recommendations
- Patience and compassion when working with animals, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
- Attention to detail in grooming tasks to achieve high-quality results that satisfy pet owners.
- Strong teamwork ethic
