Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Café Manager to oversee the daily operations of our café. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, with expertise in restaurant management and team leadership. As the Café Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining high standards of food preparation, and managing a dynamic team to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests.
Duties
- Supervise and manage café staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Oversee daily operations, including food preparation, production , service ,quality, and cleanliness standards.
- Train and mentor team members in food service practices, customer interaction, and kitchen procedures.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the café and kitchen areas.
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and minimize waste through effective stock management.
- Develop and implement operational procedures to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to create menu items that reflect current trends while maintaining quality.
- Handle customer feedback and resolve any issues promptly to ensure a positive dining experience.
- Please note this is a hands on role that requires weekend scheduling.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the food service industry.
- Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations is essential.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with staff and customers alike.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience in bartending is a plus but not required.
- A passion for providing outstanding customer service and creating memorable experiences for guests.
