POSITION SUMMARY
The Security Systems and Electrical Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and quality control of LG Home Comfort's electrical and security systems division. This role oversees the planning, scheduling, and execution of residential and light-commercial electrical installations alongside security system installations (including alarm, access control, and camera/surveillance systems), ensuring all work is completed safely, on time, and in compliance with applicable codes and standards. This Manager acts as the key point of contact for team performance, customer escalations, technical quality, and departmental growth.
Compensation
- Salary: $90,000–$100,000 annually, plus performance-based bonus

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Team Leadership & Supervision
- Directly supervise electricians, security systems technicians, and installation crews, including scheduling, dispatch, and daily workload assignments.
- Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching, and manage progressive discipline in accordance with company policy.
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, and training initiatives for new electrical and security systems technicians,
- Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and customer service excellence within the department.
Operations & Project Management
- Plan and coordinate electrical and security systems installation projects from quoting through completion.
- Ensure jobs are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the quality standards expected by LG Home Comfort.
- Review project documentation, permits, and inspection requirements; liaise with municipal authorities as needed.
- Manage inventory, equipment, and vehicle/fleet needs for the department.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues in the field and act as the escalation point for difficult installs or service calls.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all electrical work complies with the Ontario Electrical Safety Code (ESA/ESC) and all security installations meet manufacturer and regulatory standards.
- Maintain a safe working environment; enforce use of proper PPE, tools, and safe work procedures.
Customer & Business Development
- Support sales and estimating teams with technical scoping for electrical and security systems proposals.
- Identify opportunities to grow the department's service offerings and revenue.
- Collaborate with other department managers to ensure smooth coordination on multi-trade projects.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Valid 309A Electrician license (Certificate of Qualification) required; additional low-voltage/security systems certification is an asset.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in residential/commercial electrical work, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or management role.
- Experience with security systems installation (alarm, access control, CCTV/camera systems) preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of the Ontario Electrical Safety Code and applicable building/security industry regulations.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing field teams, scheduling, and performance management.
- Excellent communication skills, both with staff and directly with customers.
- Valid G driver's license and clean driving record.
- Proficiency with scheduling/dispatch software and Microsoft Office; CRM experience an asset.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Split between office/administrative duties and on-site visits to active job sites across the GTA.
- Due to the nature of the work, your hours may vary and be irregular and will be those hours required to meet the objectives of employment
- Exposure to typical job-site conditions, including working at heights, in mechanical/electrical rooms, and outdoors.
