Wellington Foundry manufactures high‑quality site furnishing products including park benches, picnic tables, and waste receptacles. We are expanding our production team and are seeking a reliable, motivated individual to join us as a Foundry Worker. This role offers long‑term stability, hands‑on skill development, and opportunities for advancement within our growing company.
Position Overview
This is a physically active, fast‑paced production role suited to someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail, and enjoys working with their hands.
Key Responsibilities
- Making and preparing sand moulds
- Grinding, sanding, and finishing metal components
- Assisting with metal finishing and surface preparation
- General manual labour in a foundry environment
- Safe operation of hand tools and power tools
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area
- Supporting production team members as required
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Strong work ethic and ability to keep up in a fast‑paced work environment
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately
- Attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Reliability and consistent attendance
Assets
- Experience using power tools
- Previous foundry, metalworking, or manufacturing experience
- Mechanical aptitude or interest in skilled trades
Work Schedule
- Monday – Thursday: 06:30–15:30
- Friday: 06:30–12:30
