Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on a wide range of vehicles, including engine, transmission, brake systems, and electrical components.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and schematics to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues efficiently.
- Conduct routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid replacements.
- Weld and perform assembly tasks as needed for vehicle repairs or modifications.
- Follow safety protocols during all repair procedures, including heavy lifting and working with heavy equipment.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to accurately diagnose problems and implement solutions.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and parts used for each vehicle.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair needs, timelines, and maintenance recommendations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in automotive repair, preferably within a dealership environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and schematics.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently as part of routine tasks.
- Welding skills are highly desirable but not mandatory.
- Experience with automotive assembly and maintenance procedures.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients.
- Knowledge of vehicle systems diagnostics and troubleshooting techniques.
- Prior mechanic experience is preferred; dealership experience is a plus.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high-quality standards.
