As an AZ Float Truck Driver, you can expect to be picking up and delivering various sized heavy equipment and materials to project sites within a 150 km radius of Cambridge ensuring that all oversize permits, load security regulations, and rules of the road are observed and adhered to while practicing defensive driving techniques at all times. When not moving equipment or materials by flat deck, the AZ Float Driver will be required to transport site materials (aggregates/debris) utilizing an end dump trailer.
The successful candidate must be able to follow all rules of the road including adhering to posted speed limits, daily vehicle inspections, and general courtesy. Safety is a priority and all driving team members are expected to operate all equipment in a safe and prudent manner.
The successful candidate must also have experience in operating heavy equipment to the extent that they can safely move, load and unload them from our float and step deck trailers.
Working Conditions:
Our AZ Float Driver works irregular or odd hours in outdoor work sites during the peak of construction season. The work hours depend on the weather condition and may include weekend hours.
Our construction sector is typically seasonal, however we tried to provide employment year-round to all Team Members by providing snow removal services in the winter, emergency sewer and watermain repair and other heavy construction projects that can occur during winter months.
