Job description
We are seeking a motivated and creative student who is interested in digital marketing, advertising, analytics, and emerging AI technologies. This role offers ownership & hands-on experience working directly with the Director of Operations to help grow our online presence and generate new leads.
Position Overview
As our Digital Marketing Assistant, you will help execute and improve our digital marketing initiatives while identifying opportunities to leverage AI and automation throughout the business. This is an excellent opportunity for a student looking to gain real-world experience to make a real impact across digital advertising, website management, analytics, content creation, and business technology. The position is predominately in person, with the hours being very flexible.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Advertising
- Assist with the management and optimization of Google Ads campaigns
- Create, maintain, and monitor performance for Meta (Facebook & Instagram) advertising campaigns
- Research new advertising opportunities and audience targeting strategies (digital & other avenues)
- Track lead generation and campaign ROI
Website & SEO
- Update and maintain website content using WordPress
- Assist with search engine optimization (SEO) initiatives
- Research keywords and content opportunities
- Improve website performance, user experience, and conversion rates
- Help create landing pages and promotional content
Content & Social Media
- Assist with photography, video editing, and content creation
- Develop marketing materials for promotions, events, and showroom displays
- Monitor engagement and identify content trends
Reporting & Analytics
- Present findings & recommendations with the team & leadership
Qualifications
Preferred
- Current student or recent graduate in Marketing, Business, Communications, Digital Media, Computer Science, or a related field
- Interest in digital marketing and advertising
- Familiarity with social media platforms and online marketing
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
- Comfortable learning new technology and software
Assets
- Experience with Google Ads or Meta Ads
- Knowledge of WordPress
- Basic understanding of SEO principles
- Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or video editing tools
- Familiarity with Google Analytics
- Hands-on experience managing real advertising budgets
- Exposure to digital marketing strategy and analytics
- Potential for continued employment beyond the summer term
