The Action Group is a non-profit organization that provides a range of services to adults and children with developmental disabilities throughout Central Alberta in communities such as Red Deer, Lacombe and Blackfalds. We are currently recruiting for a variety of positions to support adults and children with developmental delays.
Community Disability Support Workers (CDSW) provide supervision, care, and skill development opportunities to persons with disabilities to pursue and fulfill their goals, objectives and aspirations.
Family Support Aides provide services to families with children who have special needs. Supports are delivered in the family home and/or in the community. Service delivery honours the differences between families and are individualized, based on family choice and needs. Hours are provided outside of school schedule and can include hourly respite, childcare, personal care, community support, recreational activities, developmental support or behavioral support.
Qualifications
- A valid driver’s license (Class 5), reliable vehicle and proof of insurance with a minimum of $1,000,000 liability coverage
- Minimum grade 12
- A clear vulnerable sector check
- A child intervention record check (to work with children)
- Emergency Level C First Aid (within 90 days of hire)
