BPA is more than an engineering firm — it’s a passionate team shaping the buildings and infrastructure of tomorrow. With offices across Canada, our expertise in sustainable design and technical innovation drives impactful projects from coast to coast. Joining BPA means putting your talent to work on meaningful projects, collaborating with recognized experts, and growing in a flexible, people-focused and forward-thinking environment.
Your impact
You will be called upon to:
- Ensure the day-to-day financial operations of the Quebec offices.
- Produce, analyze, and present financial results to support decision-making.
- Track Work in Progress (WIP) and ensure rigorous management of project profitability.
- Collaborate closely with project controllers and operational teams across Canada.
- Participate in monthly financial closings and variance analysis.
- Contribute to improving financial controls and management practices.
- Identify opportunities for optimization, standardization, and automation of financial processes.
- Actively participate in BPA's national finance transformation.
Why join BPA?
This role will allow you to:
- Contribute directly to the modernization of our finance function;
- Work in an environment where improvement ideas are encouraged;
- Collaborate with managers who value autonomy, collaboration, and solution-finding;
- Take part in large-scale projects with an impact across the entire organization;
- Grow with a Canadian company in full expansion, where challenges are numerous and varied.
At BPA, no two days are alike. If you enjoy solving problems, improving processes, and making a real impact, you'll find your place here.
The profile we're looking for
You have:
- A CPA designation (required);
- Excellent command of Excel;
- Experience with an ERP;
- Experience as a financial controller or in a similar role;
- Excellent command of French and English*
You also have experience in a professional services environment, ideally in engineering consulting, architecture, or another firm where WIP and project profitability management are part of daily life.
- English is essential due to the shared service and to maintain an acceptable ratio among the incumbents of certain positions in order to ensure effective coordination and service offering within the organization.
You'll stand out if you are someone who...
- Can manage multiple priorities simultaneously;
- Thrives in constantly evolving environments;
- Is known for an analytical mindset;
- Enjoys questioning processes to improve them;
- Has a collaborative and mobilizing approach;
- Positively influences teams toward common ways of working;
- Looks for solutions rather than problems.
What awaits you
You'll be supported by an experienced management team to help you develop your understanding of our industry, our systems, and our processes.
You'll quickly have the opportunity to gain autonomy and contribute to strategic projects that will shape the future of the finance function at BPA.
Why is this role different?
Because it's not just about producing financial statements.
You'll help build a more high-performing, standardized, and forward-looking national finance function. If you enjoy optimizing, influencing, and evolving practices rather than simply maintaining them, this role is for you.
