Position Overview
The Motorcycle Tour Guide is responsible for operating a motorcycle or sidecar rig while guiding guests through designated routes. This role requires exceptional riding ability, strong communication skills, and the ability to create a fun, safe, and memorable experience for visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate motorcycle or sidecar rigs safely while following all traffic laws and company protocols.
- Provide engaging narration about local history, wildlife, landmarks, and cultural points of interest.
- Assist guests with helmets, gear, seating, and safety briefings.
- Perform pre‑ride and post‑ride inspections of motorcycles and equipment.
- Monitor weather and road conditions and adjust routes as needed.
- Ensure guest comfort throughout the tour, including photo stops and rest breaks.
- Handle guest questions and provide friendly, professional service.
- Report mechanical issues or safety concerns to management.
- Promote company tours and encourage positive reviews from guests.
Qualifications
- Valid motorcycle license (Class 4 and 6 in Alberta) with clean driving record and has been riding for 2 years.
- Strong riding experience; sidecar experience is an asset (training will be provided).
- Knowledge of local geography, wildlife, and tourism highlights.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills.
- Ability to lift and move gear (typically 25–40 lbs).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and peak tourism season.
