What to Expect
At Tesla Toronto Automation, we design, build and service custom highly automated, high-volume manufacturing machinery that will help Tesla accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy. Our location is currently looking for Machinist(s) to setup and operate our CNC Lathes.
Shift: 06:30 AM -04:00 PM; Monday-Thursday and 06:30 AM -03:00 PM; Friday (Overtime as needed)
What You'll Do-
Display a positive attitude and practice strong work ethics that reflects the mission, philosophy and goals of Tesla

Operate CNC equipment such as Mazak, Hardinge lathes, Mazak Integrex, and Nakamura Turn mills to produce unique quantities of parts

Review electronic or paper blueprints to ensure parts meet specifications

Machine materials such as steel, stainless steel, aluminum, plastic and other materials

Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures

Assist in other work areas to perform fabrication, assembly and maintenance when required or as business needs change
What You'll Bring-
Minimum of 3 years’ experience operating CNC machining equipment & automation, including bar feeders

Familiar with Mazatrol and Fanuc controls

Prior apprenticeship and/or toolmaking background

Exposure to CNC milling

Ability to adhere to standardized processes put in place to successfully machine parts

Basic computer knowledge and skills

Ability to provide own basic hand tools and toolbox
