Job Description
Our client, a leading precision metal fabrication and manufacturing company in Scarborough, ON, is looking for a Metal Welder / Signage Fabricator to join their production team.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble signage, metal enclosures, cabinets, kiosks, and display systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, schematics, and work orders.
- Measure, cut, bend, drill, grind, and finish aluminum, stainless steel, and mild steel components.
- Operate fabrication equipment including saws, drills, grinders, press brakes, shears, and other shop machinery.
- Perform welding, fitting, and assembly of metal components.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment.
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality and meet customer specifications.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Follow company safety policies, quality procedures, and Occupational Health & Safety regulations.
- Assist with installation of fabricated signage when required.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in metal fabrication, welding, sheet metal fabrication, or a similar manufacturing environment.
- Experience with signage, enclosures, kiosks, cabinets, or custom metal products is an asset.
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and technical instructions.
- Experience using fabrication equipment and precision measuring tools.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Skilled with hand tools, power tools, calipers, plasma cutters, and fabrication equipment.
- Ability to safely handle and maneuver materials up to 50 lbs.
- Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Pay: $24.00-$27.00 per hour
