Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Salesperson/Delivery Driver to join our team. This job is a combination of selling product as well delivering it to an established customer base. Prior knowledge of flowers and tropical plants would be a strong asset. This role requires excellent communication skills, organizational ability, and a strong commitment to customer service. The Delivery Driver will play a vital role in maintaining our company's reputation by providing timely and professional service.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver goods to various locations within designated routes
- Contacting customers to sell product that is available
- Load and unload merchandise
- Ensure accurate delivery by verifying orders, pricing, and customer details
- Upsell additional products or services when appropriate to enhance customer satisfaction and sales
- Maintain organized delivery schedules and routes for efficiency
- Communicate effectively with customers to confirm deliveries, answer questions, and address concerns
- Collect payments when necessary and process transactions accurately
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during deliveries
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
Experience
- Prior experience in commercial driving or delivery services is preferred
- Strong customer service background with excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of sales techniques
- Ability to perform merchandising tasks and manage pricing information accurately
- Familiarity with basic math for handling transactions
- Basic computer knowledge
