Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and energetic Ice Cream Server to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving a variety of ice cream treats, and ensuring a clean and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, strong communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting ice cream flavors and toppings
- Prepare and serve ice cream cones, sundaes, floats, and other frozen treats according to company standards
- Operate POS systems including Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
- Manage cash register transactions accurately using basic math skills and cash handling procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work area, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety standards
- Upsell additional products or upgrades to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Ensure food safety and proper food handling practices are followed at all times
- Assist with inventory management by restocking supplies as needed
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues, and creating a positive atmosphere
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices in the food industry
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and giving correct change
- Experience with food preparation, serving, cashiering, or kitchen operations is advantageous
- Ability to manage time efficiently during busy periods and multitask effectively in a dynamic environment
Pay: $15.00 per hour
