Talencor Staffing is currently hiring Heavy General Labourers to support our client's watermelon regrading operations for one of our clients in Etobicoke, M8Z 1J5. This role is ideal for individuals who are hardworking, reliable, and able to work in a fast-paced and physical demanding warehouse environment.
Shift Details:
Monday to Friday & Sunday: 4:00 PM TO 2:00 AM
Pay Rate: $ 18.50 / an hour
Start Date: Should be able to start July 23, 2026/July 26, 2026
Job Duties & Responsibilities: This job involves continuous bending and heavy lifting in a fast paced environment. This is a physically demanding job.
1) Inspect and sort watermelons based on size, quality, and grade.
2) Remove defective or damaged products.
3) Repack and stack watermelons in bins according to company standards.
4) Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
5) Follow all health and safety guidelines.
6) Assist with other general labor duties as required.
Qualifications
1) Must have at least 1 year verifiable experience in heavy lifting, preference to candidates with experience in a produce storage with cold temperature environment.
2) Must be comfortable working in a cold environment (0-5 Degree Celsius)
3) Physically demanding role so ability to lift up to 20 lbs regularly.
4) Comfortable standing for extended periods.
5) Strong attention to detail.
6) Ability to work in a team environment and cold temperature between 0 to 5 degrees celsius.
7) Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
8) Previous warehouse or produce handling experience is an asset (not required).
9) Must be comfortable performing other general labor duties in the warehouse.
10) Fluent English communication skills.
Pay: Up to $18.50 per hour
