Job Description
We are looking for a talented and experienced Plumbing and HVAC Estimator to become part of our team. The perfect candidate should have extensive experience in estimating plumbing and HVAC projects, strong analytical abilities, and a comprehensive knowledge of construction processes and materials. As a Plumbing and HVAC Estimator, you will be essential during the pre-construction phase, responsible for accurately calculating project costs, preparing and submitting bids, and working closely with project teams to ensure successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Review project specifications and blueprints to accurately assess requirements.
- Perform material take-offs and quantity surveys for plumbing and HVAC systems.
- Determine project scope, labor requirements, and material costs to develop comprehensive spread sheets.
- Maintain positive relationships with suppliers and customers.
- Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain pricing for materials and services.
- Evaluate subcontractor bids and proposals are accurate and comply with project specifications.
- Use Trimble estimating software.
- Participate in site visits and pre-bid meetings.
- Communicate effectively with project managers and clients to address questions.
- Support the project managers during start up of projects.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating, preferably in the HVAC & Plumbing field.
- Qualified tradesperson in mechanical field with several years' experience, and previous estimating experience.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing and HVAC systems, codes, and standards.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Excellent skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in using estimating software including Trimble and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collabore in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
