Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyperson Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing complex electrical installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance projects with precision and safety. Your expertise will help ensure our clients receive reliable, high-quality electrical systems that meet all industry standards and project specifications.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to execute electrical installations accurately.
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized testing equipment to diagnose issues and perform repairs efficiently.
- Work with low voltage systems such as security alarms, data cabling, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation projects.
- Collaborate with team members during renovation or construction projects to ensure seamless integration of electrical components.
- Follow all safety protocols and electrical codes to maintain a safe work environment at all times.
- Troubleshoot complex electrical problems using schematics and technical manuals to identify root causes quickly.
Requirements
- Valid Journeyperson Electrician certification or equivalent (e.g., Red Seal or TQ qualification).
- Proven experience as an industrial electrician or in a similar electrical role within construction or renovation projects.
- Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams with ease.
- Hands-on experience working with low voltage systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and schematics.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and testing devices essential for electrical work.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
- Handyman experience or general construction knowledge is considered an asset.
CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR: 3 Year minimum experience as a Journeyperson Electrician that can proficiently complete electrical installations and service calls. Focus on team leadership and running day to day jobsites with apprentices.
