Diamond Vault is looking for an experienced Bench Jeweller / Jewelry Repair Specialist to join our in-house workshop team. We specialize in custom engagement rings, fine jewelry, jewelry repairs, polishing, plating, stone setting, and high-quality after-service work.
We are looking for someone who is skilled, reliable, detail-oriented, and experienced in professional bench work. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently in the back workshop and complete repairs and finishing work to a high standard.
Responsibilities
The jeweller will be responsible for:
- Polishing engagement rings, wedding bands, bracelets, chains, pendants, and other fine jewelry
- Full top-to-bottom polishing after casting, including preparing rings for final delivery
- Laser soldering and repairing broken jewelry
- Ring resizing, chain repairs, bracelet repairs, and general jewelry repairs
- Rhodium plating, gold plating, and cleaning jewelry
- Preparing custom engagement rings after casting
- Removing scratches, refinishing, buffing, and restoring jewelry
- Inspecting jewelry before and after repair to ensure quality
- Working with gold, white gold, rose gold, platinum, and other precious metals
- Supporting the production and repair process for custom engagement rings
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment
- Handling customer jewelry with care, accuracy, and professionalism
Requirements
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
- Full-time availability required
- Previous experience as a bench jeweller, goldsmith, jewelry repair technician, or jewelry polisher
- Experience with laser soldering is strongly preferred
- Experience with rhodium plating and gold plating
- Strong polishing and finishing skills
- Ability to complete full polishing after casting
- Knowledge of jewelry repairs, resizing, soldering, and refinishing
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Must be reliable, professional, and careful when handling valuable jewelry
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with engagement rings and custom fine jewelry
- Experience with stone setting is an asset
- Experience with CAD/casting finishing work is an asset
- Experience working in a jewelry repair shop or production workshop
- Ability to identify repair issues and recommend proper solutions
