Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Skilled Laborer to join our dynamic team. This role involves performing a variety of manual tasks to support construction and installation projects for example but not limited too - assiting in carpentry work, using power tools, shoveling dirt into wheelbarrows, digging fence holes, stacking lumber,cleaning up job site
looking for an individual who would like to start as a labourer and learn carpentry and job site management skills.
The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in construction or related trades is preferred but not required, as training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Assist with construction, renovation, and maintenance projects by performing manual labor tasks
- Operate hand tools and power equipment safely and efficiently
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
- Load, unload, and organize materials and supplies on-site
- Support team members with various tasks as directed by supervisors
- Adhere to project timelines and quality standards
- Perform site cleanup and ensure proper disposal of debris
Experience
- Prior experience in construction, carpentry, or general labor is a plus but not mandatory
- Ability to read and interpret safety instructions and work orders
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 pounds) repeatedly throughout the day
- Excellent teamwork skills and a positive attitude
- Basic knowledge of tools and equipment used in construction or maintenance work is advantageous
- Willingness to learn new skills and take direction from supervisors
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
