Scope:
The Justice Case Manager is under direct supervision of the Justice Program Manager, and overall supervision of Executive Director. The purpose of this position is to manage clients who require support within the legal system, pre and post charge.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to clients who identify as Indigenous.
- Manage client case load from referral to completion of Criminal Diversion program.
- To facilitate Diversion Circles as needed.
- Prepare letters of completion/non-completion for court purposes.
- Refer clients internally/externally for programs and services when necessary.
- Upon request, assist the Restorative Justice Worker with Men’s Group, Women’s Group and Youth Support Group.
- Work with Restorative Justice Worker on presentations of Miikanaake Justice Program to the community.
- Network with community, and other programs to keep current with Indigenous people’s needs, and tools to support them.
- Keep accurate case notes in EMHWare and ensure all notes are inputted in a timely manner.
- Provide statistical updates for team and funders.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Degree/Diploma or equivalent in the Social Service field and working with Indigenous people or equivalent in experience.
- Have knowledge of Indigenous people in the Criminal Justice System.
- Ability to manage a case load of clients.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Have or willing to obtain CPR/First Aid, PMAB, ASIST Trainings.
- Must be willing to obtain or have a current Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and provide a current Driver’s Record Search.

Pay: $55,000.00-$62,000.00 per year
