Join a Growing Industrial Warehouse Team
We are looking for a motivated Material Handler / Shipper Receiver to join our industrial warehouse operation in Acheson, Alberta.
Our facilities support the mining, oil & gas, utilities, construction, and industrial sectors by providing specialized warehousing, heavy equipment storage, preservation, maintenance, and project logistics.
This is more than a typical warehouse position. You'll be handling large industrial materials and equipment while working with forklifts, overhead cranes, and a professional team dedicated to delivering exceptional service.
As a Material Handler / Shipper & Receiver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our warehouse.
Responsibilities include:
- Receive inbound freight and verify shipments against packing slips and purchase orders
- Inspect incoming materials for damage or shortages
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment
- Load and unload trucks safely using forklifts and overhead cranes
- Stage materials for project shipments and customer pickups
- Accurately label, package, and secure freight for local, domestic, and international shipping
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems
- Perform warehouse housekeeping and maintain organized storage locations
- Assist with container stuffing and destuffing operations
- Work with oversized and heavy industrial equipment and materials
- Assist with preservation and storage preparation of customer equipment
- Follow company safety procedures and OH&S regulations at all times
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum 2 years of warehouse experience
- Valid Drivers License
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong attention to detail
- Good organizational skills
- Reliable and Dependable
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred:
- Forklift certification
- Overhead crane experience
- Rigging experience
- TDG Certification
- Dangerous Goods shipping experience
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, inventory software)
